Please use the keyword THT008 when you upload to SCS and your blog.

MOJO96 - Fairy Tales

This is my submission for last week's Verve sketch MOJO96. I didn't get this card done before Mr. Linky closed so I will post the link in a comment on the MOJO blog. I used the set Fairy Tales from Verve Stamps while my friend Mercy was over stamping with me yesterday. I think she has every stamp set Verve makes. LOL!! I saw this color combo (Melon Mambo, Basic Black and White) in the new SU catty and loved it so I just had to use it when I made this card. I have no designer paper on this card, can you believe it? I also distressed the edges of the 3 long panels and I never do that either. I like clean lines on my cards but I was trying to go out of the box on this card. I hope you like it.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope your week is going well. I'll talk to you soon.

Hugs,

Stamps: Fairy Tales by Verve Stamps
Paper: Melon Mambo, Basic Black, White
Ink: Black Brilliance
Accessories: Clear Embossing Powder, Circle Nesties, Black Organdy Ribbon, Kaiser Rhinestones, 1-1/2" Circle Punch, SU's Crafters Tool Kit, Dimnesionals

I pulled out one of my retired SU sets called Time For You. The image was colored in with Copic Markers. I added some Martha Stewart Butterflies with some bling on them for sparkle.

MOJO97 - Forever in Our Hearts

This is my submission for today's MOJO Monday Sketch MOJO97. I used the stamp set Forever in Our Hearts that I received free from Verve for being one of the winners of the MOJO Monday Sketch MOJO94. Woohoo, thank you Julee and Verve design team. This is an awesome set that has some wonderful sayings for those times in your life when words are hard to say.

Thanks for coming by again today and I'll see you in just a little bit with my card for Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge. I'll talk to you soon.

Hugs,

Stamps: Forever in Our Hearts by Verve Stamps

Accessories: Photo Corner Punch, Designer Brads, Kraft Taffeta Ribbon, Dimensionals

Hard to Say - LPS Sketch

This is for last Monday's sketch from the Little Paper Shop LPS25. I used my new set from SU called Hard to Say. Wow this set has some amazing sayings in it. I stamped the saying on a piece of the light purple from the DP pack Cottage Wall. Yes, I have been using it a lot lately but I absolutely love it. For the people that don't know me, purple is my favorite color. Thank you SU for this awesome designer pack. LOL!! The sentiment was then cut out with Oval Nesties and mounted with dimensionals. I could not get a good pic of the card. For some reason my camera has a hard time getting the colors correct when purple is involved. The DP is much prettier in person.

Thanks for coming by today and I hope you have a wonderful start to your week. Don't forget to stop by tomorrow for a sketch card from Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge [Lord Have Mercy]. Mercy has a Tuesday sketch challenge every week and you'll want to stop by to see what all the awesome designers have come up with. Have a great day and I'll talk to you soon.

Hugs,

News and An Announcement

I just wanted to give you an update in case you noticed some changes on my blog. I am no longer a designer for Stamps and Smiles. This was a personal decision that I was forced to make this week, and I feel like it was the right thing for me to do. I have removed any and all links associated with that company. I felt it was time to move on.

I have been asked by Mercy Kerin to rejoin her design team for her Tuesday Sketch Challenges. She is restarting her sketch challenges back on her blog this coming week starting Tuesday, the 28th. Here is a list of all the awesome designers that are joining Mercy's team. We are known as Mercy's Muses.

and Me

I will be back later today with a 3x3 note card holder. Thanks for stopping by today and I'll talk to you soon.

3 Pics to Show You Today

This first card is for last Tuesday's Midnight Madness sketch MMSC10. This is the first time I have played along with their sketch. It was a great one. Go check it out. I used my SU set Peace Within again along with the new Cottage Wall designer paper. Love it!! BTW, I tied my ribbon with some silver cording like my hero Mercy does a lot. LOL.

This next card is for this past Friday's Weekend Sketch Challenge WSC89 hosted by Lori Craig. How do you like my new Greeting Farm stamp? She's called Sing and she is from the Hope & Grace collection. The paper is the new SU designer paper called Kaleidoscope. Wow, does it ever have a wide range of bright colors but I love it too.

This last pic is one my son Garrett wanted me to show you. He caught this spider and it is now in a plastic container ON THE FRONT PORCH. Yep, I wouldn't let him bring this one in the house. Never know when that lid could accidentally come off that container. LOL!!

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope your week is starting out well. Come back to see me and I'll talk to you soon.

SU Only - AMYRS72

This is my submission for Amy Rysavy's sketch from yesterday AMYRS72. Did you notice where I used the new SU embossing folder Elegant Bouquet? I love it!! I think it added so much to the card. I used my freaky friend Mercy's stamp set Flower Fancy for the focal image and I used part of one of the sentiment stamps from the set Thoughts and Prayers for the sentiment panel. This is the new Cottage Wall designer paper. Don't you just love those bright colors? They are so me. LOL!!

Thanks for stopping by to visit today. I hope you are having a great weekend. It's perfect weather here in sunny GA today. Come back and see me and I'll talk to you soon.

Hugs,

Hold on Ladies, It's Edward - AMYRS71

Who besides me out there has been waiting for a stamp with the hottest man on the planet on it?? Come on girls, I know I'm not the only one that loves Edward. Thanks Marie, from The Greeting Farm, for making this Edward stamp. For those of you that are not Twilight fans, Edward is a vampire, but a vampire that all the ladies love. So that's what leads to the sentiment "Bite Me" because all us Twilight fans want nothing else than to be bitten by Edward. LOL!! The little bat on the sentiment panel is cut out from the Ghostly Greetings retired designer paper from SU.

This card is for Amy Rysavy's sketch from the past Friday, AMYRS71.

Thanks for stopping by to visit today. Your visits mean a lot. I'll talk to you soon.

Hugs,

Newest SU Set - Peace Within

I made this card with my set from the new Stampin' Up! catalog called Peace Within. I couldn't find a sketch that I wanted to use with this image so I just kind of threw this together hoping it would all look OK at the end. I like how it turned out but it really had me stumped there for a while. I'm so used to using sketches when I make a card that it's making my brain not want to come up with ideas on its own.

This has been such a great summer so far. Beautiful weather in a beautiful town with wonderful family and friends. It doesn't get much better than that.

Thanks for stopping by to see me today. Have a great week and I'll talk to you soon.
